JACOBSON SIGNS WITH SOUTH FLORIDA GALLERY
Texas Hill Country artist Linda Calvert Jacobson has signed with Fort Lauderdale-based Léche-Vitrines Art Alliance, a contemporary fine art gallery, for exclusive Florida gallery representation. Jacobson’s original contemporary wildflower paintings will be regularly exhibited at the Ft. Lauderdale gallery and have been added to Léche-Vitrines online portfolio.
Jacobson will be making a personal appearance at Léche-Vitrines Art Alliance on May 22 to meet potential clients and discuss her work during an artist talk.
"Lèche-Vitrines Art Alliance is pleased to welcome Linda Calvert Jacobson into the gallery roster,” says gallery owner Danielle Lanteigne. “Her work brings a fresh, energetic twist to the every day floral painting. The bright, vibrant colors are a perfect supplement to the intense, sun-filled rooms of South Florida. The paintings are at first a chaotic mix of colors and shapes then they come into focus and you're standing in the middle of a rainbow field filled with flowers."
Jacobson, who lives at Canyon Lake and paints her trademark wildflowers from her studio in downtown New Braunfels, began the series of original paintings in 2003. Her original paintings are in private collections through out Texas as well as California, Colorado, Louisiana, New York, Massachusetts, Canada, Mexico and England.
In addition, Jacobson is licensing her wildflower designs with international companies. They are currently featured on a series of greeting cards being sold in stores in the UK, New Zealand and Australia. Jacobson has also been selected as one of three international artists whose artwork will used on a line of limited-edition, collector watches that will be sold on UK TV starting this summer.
Jacobson’s work may be viewed online at www.lindacalvertjacobson.com or at www.lechevitrinesart.com.
